Disclaimer: This is a poem that I wrote for school. There was a special exercise that my teacher did and we had to create a poem out of this exercise. She gave us subject headings and then we had to put words that described ourselves, or that we just liked. So here is the poem.

I Am

I am.....an emerald
Always with a sock missing on one foot
I am hyper;
And always warm.
I am like the water in a picture,
Calm as a pond or
Raging like a dragon.

I used to be....silver,
An icy blue color
My happiness never showed in my eyes.
I had only two sides, though many emotions, like a book;
You could never judge my cover.
Flighty as a unicorn one day, solid as the ground the next

I will be....as mighty as a sycamore, yet soft as cotton.
My thoughts will be expressed like the crash of thunder.
My content will show only in my heart, three-thousand years from my final resting place.
The centaur inside me shall show only on paper.
